18 months

Still SO Big.

35" tall (99%)
almost 27 lbs (65%)

But a trip to the doctor's has it's perks. After a nap, lunch with Daddy and playing in the park, we shared some banana frozen yogurt.

Good to the last drop!

When you're right, you're right.

The other night . . .

Finn: [under his breath] I don't like you. You're bossy.

Me: [shocked] Excuse me?

Finn: [quietly] You're bossy.

Me: [sternly] I AM THE BOSS.

Finn: [defiantly] You're not the boss. You're mommy.

Me: [bluntly] Yes. And I'm your boss.

Finn: [confidently] No. You're Daddy's boss!

Me: [uproariously] Hahahahaha . . .

Happy Valentine's Day

Finn is very excited about Valentine's Day. Although for some reason he keeps referring to it as Father's Day. We made valentine cards and cookies for daycare.

Bet you wish you were getting a Valentine treat from my boys.

Today's events

-On a whim we packed up the car and drove to Arnold to play in the snow. (Finn has been asking us all week to go catch snow flakes.)
-A stranger gave each of our boys $1 for being so well behaved at lunch. They both immediately started acting like wild beasts.
-Sawyer said something resembling thanks at least 5 times today after I handed him something. Nice!
-While eating lunch with our well behaved boys our less well behaved dog delicately retrieved a pouch of elk jerkey Jason had just purchased and ate the entire bag without leaving one bite or scratch mark on the bag. Impressive. Her gastrointestinal activity on the ride home was equally impressive but not in a good way.
-Now we are home, bathed, in jammies and watching Alice in Wonderland for the 97th time.

Both boys, but especially Finn, had a blast playing in the snow. It was worth the trek. The things we do for love.

15 months

33 1/2 inches (97-99%)
25 lbs. 4oz (60%)

Sawyer has a decent vocabulary (ball, apple, momma, dada, dog, sock, boat, bat, bowl, uh oh, ow, nonono, banana, balloon, bubble, dat) although some words are easier to understand than others. He really loves to talk and keep up his side of the conversation. And he throws with his right hand. He has moved on to big kid sippy cups and likes to try to feed himself with a spoon or fork. Still getting his walking legs but will take a couple of steps before dropping to a crawl which is so much faster!

Such a big boy!

First Haircut

On 12/31 Sawyer made his first visit to the Bellarmine Barbershop.

What's goin' on over here?

Finished product. Looking like a big boy.

Christmas Eve Eve Part 3

Okay this is the last of the "gifts". I promise. But I couldn't help posting this movie of Finn driving the bumper car at the Santa Monica Pier.
